EPRI-start News
This section provides you with the latest results of the EPRI-start
project. In the course of the project the EPRI-start consortium gained valuable insight
concerning the needs and attitudes of SME in the New Member States
towards the EU Framework Programme. The results are assembled in the two studies below.
Both will be circulated between policy stakeholders and Commission
representatives. The studies shall also provide a feedback to all those NMS
SME who kindly contributed to their composition.

Policy Paper
Policy Paper "Towards an SME friendly IST programme" - Lessons learned from FP6 and policy recommendations for FP7 with special emphasis on the situation in the New Member States. This policy paper reviews the experience of SMEs concerning their participation in the Information Society Technologies (IST) programme as well as providing some policy recommendations.

Questionnaire Survey
This survey is based on 104 questionnaires completed by SME of the New Member States and assesses special needs and difficulties of SME with regard to calls of the IST program. This survey is submitted to the European Commission for approval - a formal acknowledgement as deliverable of the EPRI-start project is pending.
