European Network Associates
EPRI-start is developing a Network of European Associates, a free
association on a voluntary basis of projects and organisations
following complementary goals related to the stimulation of the
participation of small and medium enterprises from the New Member
States of the European Union in the European Union’s IST Programme.
The
network aims to synchronise and coordinate activities of its members in
order to increase the efficiency of each of its partners’ activities
and extend the scope, reach, and impact of the coordinated actions. The
network thus contributes to an economical use of available resources;
it is especially beneficial to the IST community in terms of targeted
networking.
During the lifetime of EPRI-start, the Network of
European Associates will grow due to projects and organisations joining
the network. The European Network Associates have been initiated by
EPRI-start in June 2005. The following members have joined:
INSME - International Network for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises
INSME
is a non profit Association open to international membership. Its
mission is to stimulate trans-national cooperation and public and
private partnership in the field of innovation and technology transfer
to SMEs. The role of INSME is to create a link between Policy Makers
and Intermediaries in order to enhance the level of support provided.
In doing so, INSME acts as a hub, multiplier and disseminator of
knowledge, a facilitator for alliances, a promoter of networking and a
catalyser to encourage North-South and South-South international
cooperation and political dialogue.
